The $500 Mac rumor was validated at MacWorld today with Steve Jobs’ announcement of Mac Mini. What’s more important, in my opinion though, is that this is a true mobile computer. It is nice looking, it has enough computing power, is wirelessly connected to the internet, has nice graphics card. What else do you need in your dream mobile entertainment center/computer? This is going to be better than media center PCs.
You could image that people would be “proud” of carrying their Mac Mini around the house, to workplace, to friends’ house, on weekend getways … Jobs branded the concept better than anyone else: BYOKBM (bring your own keyboard and mouse).
