Dwango Wireless Ringtone

Dwango® North America Corp. (OTCBB:DWGN), a developer and publisher of wireless entertainment content, applications and Mobile Lifestyle Brands, seems on track with its expansion plan after it’s successfully completed the sale of approximately 15,000 shares of Series D convertible preferred stock and warrants to four investor groups in a private placement for gross proceeds of $15 million.

Dwango Wireless will create and deliver master tones and polyphonic ringtones from the library of digital music and comedy distributor The Orchard, the companies announced Tuesday (3/8/2005).

Dwango, which currently offers 2,000 ringtones through Rolling Stone Ringtones, said the new licensing agreement includes access to more than 375,000 songs from artists including Ray Charles, Beck, Coldplay and Simply Red. The deal also includes comedy from George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld and Woody Allen.
